Mr. Nick Geer, Chairman of the Board, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jean Valiquette to the Board of Directors of NAV CANADA. Mr. Valiquette has more than 30 years' experience in aviation as a pilot, manager and industry consultant. He has served in management positions at Transport Canada and NAV CANADA and is a former Assistant Director, Infrastructure Consultancy Services, with the International Air Transport Association (IATA). From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Valiquette was President of APS Aviation Inc. Most recently, Mr. Valiquette has joined ACASS Canada Ltd. as Manager of International Aircraft Operations.
Mr. Valiquette is an accredited IATA instructor and has managed civil aviation projects on behalf of IATA, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and other clients in more than 30 countries. He started his career as a pilot and base manager, and held an Airline Transport Pilot License until February 2000. He has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Sherbrooke.
