TAG Aviation's Transpolar08 Record Setting Mission Succeeds With ACASS Pilots on Board

ACASS sponsored and provided two pilots for TAG Aviation's Transpolar08 mission, the latest attempt to beat a 30 year old record for flying around the world over both the North and South poles.
Led by Azziz Ojjeh, Vice President of TAG Group, the team left Farnborough airport on a Bombardier Global Express on November 21st 2008 and made its way back in 52 hours and 32 minutes at a tentative confirmed speed of 445 knots per hour, beating the record held since 1977 by a Boeing 747SP.
The International Aeronautical Federation (FAI) is currently reviewing all the flight documentation and will certify the record in the coming weeks.
